Spontaneous Effort

In 2018, Francis Demaske tasked us with a project that required where we took one object from a box of various objects. From there, we were required to take photos and make those photos fit the provided text within a set of parameters: Only up to 20 spreads, one color, and you had to take the photos yourself.

For this project, I chose a font and book size that mimicked the item itself. I took around 200 or so photos as well to make sure that I'd have images to work with regardless of how the book split. All design decisions were made to emphasize or reflect the text and/or the object including the page numbers and accordion styled book with a hard cover.
